>> $439.98 $309.99

I like how the previous price was 309.99 and now it's 439.98 (as determined by some algorithm). ;-)

Costco had Seagate 14TB Expansion USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive for $150. Comparing that this seems higher.

That's a completely different, vastly inferior product (and manufacturer, no matter if they 'changed' after decades of suck). Like comparing apples to hand grenades. Although this deal is crap, they've had random 2 18tb deals for the past 3 years for 450-500.

I would hope everybody looks up videos on WD red drive reliability before jumping on any deals. It'll save a lot of heartache and frustration.

Red Pro is not the same as Red Plus.

Every hard drive ever made has bad reviews. Nobody leaves reviews on hard drives until something goes wrong, and no HDD has a 0% failure rate. Go look up prices and you won't find anything within $100 of this deal.

This is by far the best deal for WD drives right now. I don't understand the comments here. It might not match a Black Friday deal, but this is going to be a top 5 deal of the year if you are in the market.

I've had HGST drives for many years without issue I've also had many years (and currently) running WD drives.. no problems. the only problem I've ever had with bad drives/data loss is with seagate. seagate sent LTT a petabyte worth of drives only to have to send more because they went bad. they tried to blame it on bit rot, but we all know what he cause was.
