Anyone looking for a convertible notebook -- or a laptop in this price range -- should definitely give the ThinkPad X1 Yoga G6 (certified refurbished by Lenovo, FWIW) a look. It's a business (enterprise) laptop and a legitimate ThinkPad (not one of the devices from pseudo lines like E or L) in a road warrior friendly chassis. The 2-year warranty serviced by Allstate is a nice touch.
This convertible is designed for general business use. The IPS touch screen display is brighter (400 nits), has a wider color gamut (100% SRGB), and has a 16:10 aspect ratio, all of which are better than the typical base model business laptop. There is support for multiple monitors even without a docking station. Pretty good battery life while unplugged and USB-C charging when needed. No installed gaming or professional dedicated GPU, although Thunderbolt 4 ports allow for that possibility with additional equipment.
There are tradeoffs for being light weight and small size: RAM & Wi-Fi module are both soldered. Fortunately, 16GB RAM should be enough for most users. I suspect not having a Wi-Fi 6E module installed isn't a deal breaker for most users. OTOH, the 720p webcam on a premium device is a big disappointment, especially considering how many people work remotely. In an office setting, odds are a TB4 dock would be used so the lack of an Ethernet port can be forgiven. There's always a USB to Ethernet adapter, if needed. Finally, what's up with a Storm Gray ThinkPad? C'mon, Lenovo, it's a ThinkPad and customers should have been given the Henry Ford treatment ("any color as long as it's black").

Got the fully loaded version of this. Only had it about 6 weeks, but use it every day for business. Only hiccup I've had is with the 5G cellular card. Even that is small. Overall, she's a beauty.

No way AI could come up with my smart-ass comment about Henry Ford in that context. Since you thought my post was written by AI, perhaps you should ask for an AI implant?

In the market for an ultraportable laptop for travel. Was looking at Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon.
I think the Lenovo Thinkpad carbon X1 Is lighter than this one, but carbon X1 is non-touch screen so for those who are looking for a touch screen this is the best one.

X1 carbon does come in touchscreen variation but it is not a 2 in 1.

Have had a few from work and prefer them over Surface and MacBooks they provide us now.
This has been my favorite laptop ever.
