Verizon is offering $1000 off the new S24 Ultra with any Samsung, any condition phone trade in with the highest "Unlimited Ultimate" phone plan. Doesn't even have to be working or even linked to one of your lines. As long as imei is clean, I was able to get $800 off for a broken galaxy S7 edge that won't even turn on. They ask questions about the phone's condition before check out and they still gave me $800 off of it since am only in the "Unlimited Plus" plan which they only offer up to $800 for trade ins. I'll call to double check in the morning but I thought it was a great deal.

I am on the 5g play more plan and every time I pick a phone it asks me to change my plan. Hell no. I like having free Disney Plus and ESPN over whatever nonsense they are giving now.

Thanks for the info on the Verizon Up deal. I currently have Play More and it let me upgrade with no plan change required. Details on the trade-in just specify a "premium unlimited" plan so looks like it works with almost any unlimited. Comes to $180 over 3 years plus tax & activation. Best deal I've seen so far.

I don't have this in my up. I haven't had a good phone deal in forever and I've been rocking a note20 for awhile. I see the deal if I change my plan I can get a smartwatch a tablet and a phone but I don't want to change my plan.

Anyone know where to get an eligible trade in phone for cheap? I don't feel like dealing with shady craiglist, eBay, Facebook marketplace sellers.

I think you can switch phones as long as you don't pay off the phone. I was on a similar family plan with Verizon, my daughter lost her phone, I activated a spare phone on her line but kept paying for the lost phone and kept getting credits till the phone was paid off. The credits are tied to your keeping the account open and continuing to pay installments for full period - so you may not be able to sell or trade in the partially paid off phone. You can use it on other carriers or lines though.
