The only difference to the Black Friday deal is that the only color option is Sky. Umber is no longer available. Also, if you upgrade to Windows 11 Pro the price increases to $1,159.

I bought this laptop in November in Umber and upgraded to Windows 11 Pro for $50 extra.

If you are ok with the Sky color and Windows 11 Home it looks the the laptop is in stock. Mine was shipped from China and it took 5 days.

Cheers!

This particular model is a turd of a laptop. OK specs, especially for the price, but the keyboard is horrible, and the touchpad seems to be stuck at the early 2000s quality-wise. Everyone now makes better touchpads than Dell, frankly I don't understand why.

I like the laptop. I only use it when I am on the road and only for office software, web, watching videos, etc. No gaming, graphics or video software editing. For that the i7-1250U is sufficient. The keyboard is good. Some reviews say the keyboard in Sky can be hard to read. I only bought it because I was able to order it in Umber. I would never use a laptop in the office. I like my Dell 30" UltraSharp monitor.

I have a different experience.

For super thin and light ultraportable laptop market, this has been great. Windows hello camera and fingerprint reader works. I get through full work day on battery with vsc, Ubuntu vm, word, outlook, PowerPoint (not much compiling locally).

Fans do kick up but aren't terribly loud. Keyboard has been perfectly adequate (it's not a thinkpad or Mac keyboard) and yes the touchpad could be a little larger and firmer. I also put steam in there and currently replaying Mass Effect. Def not a gaming powerhouse but that's not my goal.

Another annoying thing is opening from clamshell.. in someone's infinite wisdom they neglected to put a sufficient indent for you to open the lapto on easily. You gotta almost slide a nail in there to crack it open.

I got it slightly cheaper than current price with AmEx stacking and a CB site… but it's been worth it for me

But for the price coupled with 13th gen cpu actually has LESS battery life than 12th (smart move Intel).. I'd buy it again

Note that there are two USB-C (Thunderbolt) ports on the machine, that's it. Not even 3.5mm audio. If you ever need to connect more than two devices or need HDMI, it's dongle life for you.

Dell has been relentlessly chasing slimness lately, even more so this year -- look at their lineup at CES -- often at the cost of battery life, heat management and usability.

If you use this laptop for travel only - for which it is intended - you probably won't need to connect any devices so the lack of ports is not an issue. I only use the USB C ports to charge the laptop. I bought a Dell Bluetooth mouse, and you can use USC C Apple EarPods or Bluetooth headphones and USB C flash drives are also available to transfer data. This is not the kind of laptop you want to use daily in the office.
