8g added sugar on a 50g serving is more than some candy without a "superfood" label.

More than what candy? I pay a lot of attention to sugar content and having 15-20% of the weight in sugar is middle of the pack for cereals in general. The most relevant reference is Quaker, with 25-30% of the weight in sugar for most of its flavors.

These are small. I've made these for my children and they will ask for a second one because there are very little actual oats in each cup. The pic of the overflowing oats is actually quite misleading - it probably fills half the cup.

Their other flavors are on sale as well. I buy their original flavor constantly at Walmart and this is a good price. Most of the better granola type cereals go for about 40-50 cents an ounce unless you're buying in bulk I've found

Quaker Oats has no added sugar.
Flavored Quaker Oats is plain candy.

Comparing one candy with another candy and saying that its not candy is plain nuts.

It isn't superfood. Its candy. Period.
