Elegoo has been having some decent prices on their filaments lately. I've had very good results. I did have an issue with one roll of PLA though. I dried it and it worked just as good as the other 20 or so that I used from them. I mentioned this in an Amazon review and they sent me an email asking to reply to them so that they could refund me the purchase price. I bought a dual pack, only one was bad and they offered to just refund the entire prices. Well, I simply dried it out and used it and their customer service was so good, I did not take them up on the offer as it was a quick and easy fix.

The only "issue" with Elegoo is in Bambu AMS units, Bambu does not recommend cardboard spools. However, Elegoo seals the ends of their spools with glue. I've never had any issues using cardboard spools in a Bambu AMS and will continue to use them.

$11 spool for PLA + is a decent deal. I consider PLA at $10 and PLA plus at $10-$12 a good deal. Black and white is typically discounted to these amounts.
In response to the comment about the AMS, I built https://www.printables.com/model/...1c/remixes and when I get a non-Bambu spool, I just re-spool it immediately onto a Bambu spool. I actually had fun building https://www.printables.com/model/...-motor-mod and now I don't even need a drill, I just pull it out, and let it run, takes about 3 minutes maybe to re-spool. Plus, kind of a fun build Smilie

Great comments... I've had similar results. I just want to add to this by saying there are also very good adapters for the cardboard spools. I have been using this one (not my design) https://makerworld.com/models/26707 with great success.

I got their PLA Pro a month or so ago on a similar deal and it's been extremely difficult to dial in (extremely stringy). Dried it like crazy, as well. Only filament that's given me issues (outside of being wet).

Is there a big difference between PLA and PLA+? I read that there isn't any standard for either option, and for the vast majority of jobs it doesn't matter.

You probably won't find a good, generic material spec for either, especially not PLA+. However, PLA+ generally prints 20-30C hotter, has a slightly higher heat deflection and Tg temperature, has lower strength and higher ductility and substantially better fracture toughness. PLA is fine for anything that is a throw-away trinket or toy that will always be in a house environment (70F+/-15F and 50+/-20% RH). PLA+ is okay for moderate strength, indoor parts that are easy to replace (5-10 year design life). Anything outside that and you're best bet is to find a manufacturer that does actual material testing and publishes values.

ELEGOO published said values:

You can go to the filament tab and compare their regular PLA, Pro, and +

I bought 2 of those 4-packs in white. Elegoo is ok, but my AMS hates them. Outer rings don't help. The problem that I found with Elegoo is bad winding on the edges. Somehow the filament on the edge gets tucked under the next layer of filament.
1.75 +/- 0.01 on 12 tests.
Color-wise: I love the matte white color of the PLA Pro.

Would this work on fast printer (like a Bambu Lab P1S)? I've been using "high speed" filament so far. The machine goes so fast that I'm kinda scared to use regular PLA.

I'm waiting on my order to test (also a P1S) but I have not had any problems with other brands "regular speed" PLA.

Elegoo PLA/PLA+ is excellent especially for the price. They're very reputable in the area of resin 3d printing (I have a Jupiter and Saturn). Elegoo is relatively newer to the FDM markets; I think that's why they tend be more competitive on pricing. This PLA+ prints well in my Voron on the occasion I do print it over ASA. I have a few boxes of this sitting around in case I need it.

Trying Elegoo ASA now. Normally, I print with Polymaker ASA. Sunlu ABS when doing "budget" printing. But Elegoo ASA is about the same price as Sunlu ABS and delivers faster.
