Wow brand name multi-tools have gotten expensive! But I spot checked this and it is, in fact a good price these days.

Is the 2024 "workmanship" identical to 2000 "workmanship"?

How easily can you actually use the rest of those tools? Looks kinda uncomfortable

Are these as comfortable, good and easy to use as dedicated tools? Definitely not. Not even close.
But these multi-tool things are not designed to replace conventional set of tools. They are to keep in your backpack and use in emergency. I have one (different brand) and used it twice in 15 (or so) years. But, man, I was really REALLY happy I had it when I needed it.
Rule of the thumb: any screwdriver is excellent when you desperately need it.

The swisstool spirit is much more comfortable than any other tool I used. I use one for EDC. The handle is nicely rounded and the surfaces are extra smooth.

The original swisstool, on the other hand, weighs like one pound and is too heavy to really carry. So don't get them confused.

I bought one around 2005 and another one last year when they released the one hand blade opening version. The build quality is still good.
