Also, I don't buy tees that have huge graphics that cover the whole front like a solid square. The graphic feels like plastic on your chest through the shirt and that's uncomfortable to me, so I buy designs that have negative space in them so they breathe more. Shirts are 100% cotton and while not being the most refined, softest cotton, they're comfy.
All that said, I still just bought 5 more because of this deal which is one of the better ones I've seen. I only buy during one of these sales which they have fairly often. I think its only been 2 months since I bought 3 for like $7 each.
Another thing I do like is that I'm a 2X these days and a lot of clothing brands and stores will start increasing their prices at that size by a couple bucks, Woot doesn't. So $6 per shirt for 2X is a sweet deal, especially if you're into nerds shirts like I am. This holds true for pull-over and zip-up hoodies too, no up charge for larger sizes. The include hoodies, long sleeve, totes, etc.. on some of these sales too, so keep an eye out.
Also, I have contacted woot about it and they don't care.

A real SDer would understand half the price is not good if you get less than a tenth of the use out of it.
Anyone have recommendations on shirt sites like this but with better quality (and hopefully occasional sales that make it more affordable)?

Btw for the girls, women's sizing is small. You've been warned. They're great about screw ups though, easy to get refund.
Really noticed a massive drop right before the pandemic. I wrote in and the board mod ThunderThighs (a woman who works far too hard whatever they pay her) gave me some answers and then a C/S rep did the rest.
Partially as part of being under Amazon and partially to keep up with their many shirt styles and a print-on-demand site now (instead of screen printing) they moved to digital printing. Here's the video I usually show people to explain the difference: https://youtu.be/sOhW0fDkjDU?si=
What the net effect of this on the Woot shirts is they now can print faster and with amazing detail and color ranges, but it's just not as thick and sturdy. Add that to their change in using a much more inexpensive shirt that has a tendency to roll at the neck and you see they're much more akin to a mill now from a printing shop.
Would I still buy a Woot shirt? Maybe. It would have to be a really amazing style and I'd probably expect a discount. They sent me a "hey, come back" coupon for a free shirt over Christmas and I gave it as an extra gift to someone and pre-warned them about quality. I'm wearing a Woot shirt right now (https://shirt.woot.com/offers/hou...ctlg_dgn_1 [woot.com]) and just realized how faded (peeling away) the graphic is. I purchased it Sept 2022 and have worn it a single digit amount of times. Meanwhile, I have another shirt from 2008 that I've worn hundreds of times, including having to hand wash it in a bathroom and rewear it for 2 days when my luggage got lost and it still looks good except for some fraying on the collar.
I will also say that Woot's customer service is by far the best in the world. Shirt color off? Here's a refund. Ordered the wrong size? Here's your money back! No need to return the shirt, just throw it out, donate it or keep it. They don't care.
Not just on shirts either. I was involved in that Nintendo Switch debacle back in Dec. Once the dust settled they refunded $60 back for the trouble automatically and offered their own 2 year guarantee (it was a non US region Switch). I was happy and kept my Switch despite it being the neon controllers instead of the white that I ordered.
Ya, the digital printing shirts aren't the best, but like I said I only buy when they have specials like this, $6-$8 is about what max what I'd spend for these. The more you buy, the less often you wear them and the longer they last! lol.

My last order has bothered me enough that I'm very skeptical about whether I'd ever buy another Woot shirt. It's definitely frustrating, as I love so many of their designs and I've had so much fun with Woot shirts for so many years. Even on a sale like this, though, it's hard to purchase shirts that you expect to look terrible in a month.
I also bought the last 5 t's for $30 deal back in November '23. I bought size 2XL classic fit and I've been pleased with the shirts so far. Only washed a few times so maybe the graphics will get bad after a few more washes.
I wash them inside out, and dry on low. It's important to dry cheap shirts like this with similar weight items. Don't dry them with heavy jeans or sweatshirts! The t-shirts will dry quickly and continue to BAKE while the heavier items are still drying. Plus, if you use the auto setting on your dryer like I do, having the heavy items mixed in will keep the shirts tumbling much longer than necessary, which will wear the graphic even more. Just my personal experience...
