Good price for Valvoline ATF, price constantly changes between $25.92 to $30.89 all the time, and finally dropped lower.

Well by the time the transmission fails the vehicle will be well outside of the warranty period.
If you plan on keeping the vehicle for 10+ years, replace the fluid every 50K miles.
Yea thats called "lifetime" fluid.
But how long that life is up to you. If you change the fluid it last much longer. If not then much shorter.
Some companies did that for a while as it made their cars look cheaper to maintain. But then many had issues under warranty and they, for the most part, stopped. If you read your owners manuals it will say when to change it under severe conditions. That way if the trans goes bad under warranty they can point at you and deny it saying you should have followed that.
This fluid, plus most other LV Syn fluids, will work fine in your Toyota.
TLDR: Do a drain fill every 30-50k to keep the trans lasting a long time.
No: many are semi and older ones (Dex3 for example) are conventional.
Similar to motor oil. Most cars today will call for either a semi-syn or full syn. Full syn, like this one, will work in both.
The owner's manual says to use "Automatic transmission fluid DEXRON II or III" if the power steering fluid level is low. And the specifications section in the manual includes:

You add the fluid through the dipstick hole. So drain fluid from pan(drain plug) and then add 3quarts in the dipstick hole. After that start the car and go through all the gears (p-r-n-d-n-r-p). Check the fluid level after that and it should be a little above cold close to the half way mark on the stick. If low add a little more. It usually takes around 3 1/2 quarts.
This fluid works ok in that trans, but I like the Castrol HM Green bottle fluid in the older Dex3 transmissions like yours...

The manual says I need "D−ll or DEXRON III (DEXRON II)" (not sure if D-II means the same as DEXRON II?), but looking at one of the back label images of the Castrol, it says the fluid can be used for "Toyota/Lexus - Type T, T-III, T-IV". So not sure what to make of these different terms.

Yea use the green HM Castrol as you have the older 4speed.
And only need to open the drain plug from the pan, don't open the rear one in that video as it can cause issues/leaks unless you have done it before.

This is transmission fluid, not motor oil. For motor oil use any good 5w30 syn oil. Kirkland oil is onsale at costco right now.
For transmission fluid you want to use CVT fluid. Valvoline has one of the best for nissans as it works well and is similar color to the OE fluid.

What I was asking is whether this fluid can be mixed with factory Mercon fluid that comes with the car from factory and work together. Because that's how we change the fluid without flushing.
