I was another that attempted this deal in the past with Home Depot and this Homestock couch.
Vendor delivered 1 of the 2 pieces...spent a couple of months going back and forth with them and Home Depot. Vendor claimed it was delivered, yet FedEx tracking shows it was never picked up. Eventually was refunded and returned the 1 section of it that was delivered. Homestock refused to assist and said to dispute it with Home Depot.
You're in for a headache if you attempt this.

here is the alternate product on HD from Homestock that everyone had issues on their order (which has a ton of reviews you can read)

Agreed - so I paid more and bought a real leather couch. However, almost every REAL leather furniture has faux leather on the parts you don't sit on (sides, back, etc.). Guess what parts of the couch looked like crap after 5 years? Lesson learned: Sit on the floor

Agreed. I'm in the market for a new leather couch set but want it to be tough with four young kiddos and a puppy. If anyone has any suggestions, it'd be appreciated.

Can someone explain to me what Velvet material is? Is it like fabric or something similar to the faux leather?

Depends on the material- BONDED leather is the peeling crap you want to avoid. Faux leather is made from 100% synthetic materials and would hold up a lot better.

they did that to me last time, waited for two months and nothing came, HD finally refunded the money. and look at the reviews, many received half the order, don't know why the vendor do that, they lost a lot of money on shipping back and forth. terrible business practice.

Sam's Club has Addison Living line with very good sleeper sofas. I bought two for 1200 and combined them to make a double sofa bed for my living/projector room. Micro fiber and Chenille.
