I just checked prices for the celebrity cruise I'm booked on and it's $600 more expensive than 3 weeks ago. While I am sure there are some good deals, don't be fooled by thinking everything is on sale. Celebrity / Royal use dynamic pricing.

Yes Celebrity and the other cruise lines play with the pricing all the time. If you want to do some research check Cruise Plum it will show you different pricing over time for a certain cruise. If you have a group or if you want the all inclusive rates you definitely want a good travel agent. Some travel agents have group rates (also available for 2 people) usually you have to be 9 months out from cruise and I have found some with great deals that you can get the group rate from a travel agent including drinks and wifi for the same price Celebrity is selling the room only. If you are a bargain shopper there are cruise bargains you just need to know where to look.

Cruise pricing isn't intuitive in general.

But for a family of 4 on a 3 night cruise it was $1120 before taxes/fees. $1600 total after a few cabin and other upgrades. That's a pretty good deal.
Cries in family of 5.

We are looking for Alaska cruise in 2025.
How do I get the best price for 6 rooms?

1. Directly with Celebrity Website?
2. Call Celebrity CSR?
3. Travel agent?
4. Expedia, priceline, etc 3rd party website?

Take a look at Norwegian Cruise Lines. They have new deals popping up all the time.

Same question. Or single person travel in general. Any pre-planned trips/tours you pay almost the same price as 2 people for a single person. I can understand paying more for a single room, but why is everything else more too?

My experience with Celebrity cruise - took Alaska cruise from Seattle last year with Solstice. This cruise is not suitable for kids under 13. Not many activities. We took RCCL cruise the previous year and it was kids friendly. Also the food choices are also not great (considering 7 days in the cruise). Speciality food (especially Indian was challenging too)

I'll agree with this, I've been pricing out a cruise for October and on Monday it was around $3000 for our family of three to go. It's now almost $3900 for the same room.

It was easier during COVID-19 to get good single rates. I would try a site like CruisePlum. You can search all cruise lines for solo rates.
