Poorly. Marriott is 1k/night flat plus 1 extra elite night credit per night (e.g. 2 credits per night). Note that they must be paid and only at participating brands which is basically everywhere in the US.

No limits on the Marriott promo other than it ends at the end of April; I believe the max (based on the promotion period) was 76 nights/76k extra points.

is 1000 pts marriot vs 1000 pts hyatt equivalent? have a biz trip coming up for 4 nights, trying to decide which is better

Likely not. Not even comparing specific properties, free nights with Hyatt are more in the sub 10k range and marriott is more like 3-4 times that. So 1k pts@ Hyatt is probably more valuable in $/pt than Marriott.

As I said before though, Marriott has more than 6 TIMES the number of properties as Hyatt. So, I would say that in any given area not only are you more likely to find a Marriott, but multiple levels of Marriotts (Courtyard, Residence, Fairfield, etc). Also Marriott has 5 for 4 on points which can sometimes be handy (heck, I've had multiple instances where I only needed to stay for 4 nights but added a 5th because it wasn't any more expensive but gave me an extra elite night credit).

New WoH member with questions. If I booked 2 rooms and each person in my party staying is a WoH member and registers for this promotion, will each person receive bonus points? And then if possible, transferring all the points to one account?

I would think the person booking the room qualifies for the offer. Can't transfer between accounts but you can 'gift" points to someone else to use but requires calling WOH - can't do it online.
