Ooh, that looks fun. Do these use Gearwrench passthrough sockets?

this comes with their own set of sockets. everything up to 15mm is pass through. if you buy this, i recommend picking up a 1/2" anvil as well, should only be $8 with this coupon. tool comes with 1/4" hex female, 1/4" square male and 3/8" square male anvils.

Is there a standard on pass-thru sockets or are they all proprietary to the brand?

60 ft/lbs? Should we expect one of these in an impact 250 ft/lbs?

Ive been really wanting to pick one of these up - but I keep reading about the "slipping" issue with early batches. I read that Milwaukee probably upgraded the head during that long 'backorder'. Assuming this is true, does anyone know how to tell what were buying? (old vs new), [Im hoping there is some sort of "tell" in the appearance.]

60 ft lbs is actually quite a lot for a ratchet, some might say too much. These are intended for you to use your own muscles to break the fastener free, just like a regular non-powered ratchet, and then pull the trigger to zip it off the rest of the way.

The problem with too much torque is that if you aren't adequately holding it and the bolt is tight or hits a bad spot in the threads, it could slam your hand into something when you pull the trigger. I use the little 35 ft-lbs version and have never found it to be inadequate.

There's not really a standard but there is a lot of compatibility between brands of pass-throughs that look similar. I haven't used this Milwaukee yet, so I'm not sure if anything else would fit.

This is old stock.

Read up on the post here where I brought this to everyones attention. The OP didn't even know about the issue and is slinging links of old inventory, confirmed by the ebay seller

I have an M12 35ftlb brushed and an M12 55ftlb fuel and I'm not happy with their power. I'm used to more powerful air ratchets. I hate air ratchets but I'm kinda stuck with them. The Milwaukee battery ratchets make me uncomfortable with how much they flex when loosening stuck fasteners, air ratchets are very often all metal.

Here we go again. The one I received has a "2402" serial number, which means it was manufactured in the 2nd week of 2024.

Get the right angle impact wrench.
