I think it's their product line for corporate users, think about Thinkpad (well, just from HP). Should be solid. Definitely better than Envy, Inspiron, or Pavilion

Yeah off lease corporate at least a keyboard is likely falling apart, battery may be also.

So just got the laptop from local Microcenter
Mine has fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard
Battery results say about 2 years 6 months old but 3% wear per HWIFO
Panel is LGD06CA but couldnt find much about the display specification but it's def 250nitss screen.

Also checked based on serial still have factory warranty for the next 9 months

I bought this laptop yesterday. The salesman told me it is refurbished and offered to sell me years insurance for an extra 40 dollars. I told him I enjoy gambling and it will be used as a backup of a backup. The laptop is pretty damn new looking when I opened it up. I upgraded the drive this morning. I'm planning to put ubuntu on it. The insides were immaculate. Elitebooks are real easy to upgrade. Build quality is very nice. No clue about the performance as I haven't used it and I'm not a gamer anyway. I live near a microcenter so if i got a bum one I'd probably return it.

I actually bought the acer 516 you're talking about a couple months ago. It's insanely fast and impressive overall, but I mistakenly thought the chromeOs wouldn't be a problem and now I'm shopping for a windows laptop…
