I bought this combo from Costco 2 years ago. One benefit of this version is that it has a high-speed cleaning function (the diamond) outside of the standard speed. I (and my dentist) can tell the difference by the reduction of plaque along the gumline compared to previous versions. It's nice that my gums don't bleed after a dentist appointment and brushing.

Travel case doesn't charge, but it is relatively efficiently compact and sturdy.

Buyer beware that this is not the newest version of Oral-B, the IO series.

I was shopping for electric toothbrushes and was deciding between Oral B and Sonicare and wondering why each brand has like 20 different models which seems insane and overwhelming and Best Buy had an Aquasonic on clearance for like $20 so I grabbed it to try it and wow, that thing is amazing. Regular price $60 I think. I am struggling to think how much better a $200 or $300 toothbrush could be. Also the Aquasonic came with like 10 heads and a travel case.

Multiple hygienist I've spoken to recommends oral b. I used to use Sonic, didn't do jack for me

From what I can tell, the Genius X has a Tongue cleaning mode and you can charge the toothbrush with the travel case.

I like that this is the older series, and not the IO which uses a totally different brush head. I still have some replacement heads from my 100 and 5000 series I can "reuse" for this.

That's part of the reason I decided to stick with the older series. Aside from having a Costco pack's worth of the old brush heads, the newer brush heads are also more expensive. About $9 per brush head vs $5.50 for the older ones.

I've heard the exact opposite. Almost everyone I've spoken to says sonicare is marginally better and recommmend that over oral b. A lot of them cite the round brush head is a gimmick and doesn't provide any improved cleaning plus the vibrations are much weaker than sonicare.

Big advocate of electric toothbrushing, and it made a noticeable difference in cleanings over the years. What I don't like about Oral B is that the rechargeable battery appears to be getting smaller and weaker over the past decade so you'll have to replace this in about three or so years unless you recharge every night. Haven't tried Sonicare... but wish I did, as the replacement heads have gotten more expensive every year. That said, I do like that Oral-B offers sensitive heads, and a sensitive setting which I prefer (doesn't beat up my gums as much).

I read that people were having issues paying w/ PayPal/Google in the past.

I provided my CC info to Ora-l B directly and just received my order.

FYI, although this is sold as a "twin pack" you actually get 2 separate retail boxes -- one for each tooth brush, in case anybody doesn't need 2 and wants to gift/resell the second one.

I miss when they used to include the physical bluetooth clock so I could watch how much time was left for brushing each side. I know they have built the clock into the app, but it is not as convenient as the physical clock

How about the clock on the brush itself? Mine pulses every 30 or 45 seconds depending on mode.

Mine also does the quick pause, but sometimes I can easily miss it if I'm using the phone or in a conversation. The toothbrush is great, I just really miss the physical clock that came with Oral-B.
