I hear this is the last year for PlayStation exclusives.
All my online buddies and I gave up on COD years ago. MW (2019) was a step in the right direction. But since has been shit.
We just hopped on the helldiver's 2 bandwagon and couldn't be happier!
Things must be really slow in Slickdeals if this makes front page...lol

Once a season for playstation users, there's a bundle that's the equivalent of $20.
So yeah, free content that would normally be $20, seems a deal to me. /.shrug
*Warning* Long ass rant below. May be triggering.
Also, the spelling and grammar are probably jacked up because I dictated it to my phone and then realized how long it is and I'm not going to go back and spelling and grammar check it on this tiny screen. 😂
Hopefully nobody takes offense... But, who am I kidding? This is the internet....
Also, @AmusedStove7007, this isn't directed at you. It's only posted as a reply because I originally just meant to leave a quick reply about the Bethesda comment. And then my "Gen X" rage came out and it turned into this. 😂
* If you are still here though...BEHOLD! my cerebral vomit! 😂
Unfortunately, that's all coming to an end though. They've already said the next Elder Scrolls isn't coming to PS. It is interesting though that about the time Microsoft starts pulling back from releases for competitors, Sony starts licensing their stuff for PC. I mean I can pretty much already play everything on PlayStation Plus and stream games from my PlayStation if I really need to if they don't have them on Steam.
If it wasn't for the few exclusives, I probably wouldn't have any consoles. Not fond of how any console manufacturer acts these days. I get it that of course it's about business and making money. But it seems the only people that get inconvenienced...or straight up robbed when your $80 digital game is no longer available to play because there's no physical copy of it.... Or when they decide to go at each other by screwing over their customers.
I give it 5, 10 years MAX before there will be no physical media for games or anything really. It will all be digital.
Which is fine...when it's not locked inside a proprietary piece of hardware that's capable of doing much more than just playing games and the occasional movie.
Of course, if they were to, (and I know this is a hot take), actually allow people to do whatever they want with the expensive products that they buy, manufacturers know they would lose out in other areas like selling someone a crap laptop so that they can do their college school work.
Which, they could do perfectly fine on any of the hardware of current generation consoles if it wasn't so handicapped and locked down. Or to push some ridiculous (and usually WAY overpriced for the capabilities) set-top box or dongle that is also locked down to their proprietary ecosystem, which, don't get it twisted, they don't have to be. It's mainly done to give some place to live for all of the background services that are compiling all of your metadata into nice marketable chunks that they can then make millions of dollars off of selling off to whoever's willing to pay.
But, like I said that's the way things are going. That's why you get to pay thousands of dollars to enable features in your car that are mechanically already there and just require a software update to work.
And yes, before all of the angry responses, I am a PC guy. Because they're better in every way...even though the gap is only that big because the manufacturers want it that way.
Current generation consoles are computers.
Not the most powerful, but they can obviously get the job done. That is if they weren't severely gimped by their various proprietary and frankly sad ecosystems.
No, I don't include the Switch in that. The switch is not a "current" generation. It's not even the last generation. It's basically an Nvidia Shield (which is also from 2017) with colorful controllers slapped on the side of it.
If you read this far, cool. Sorry for the rant, but I hate to see people get so angry and start arguing with each other like "Fanboys" about basically which (broken from the factory) toy is the best. While calling each other "Fanboys" to what, hurt the other one's feelings?) 😂
I guess that's why When some company stops making, selling or supporting the hardware/software that they've sold to people, I don't really feel bad about "sailing the high seas" 😂
You don't get to charge me for something and then dictate to me as to when it's end of life is. It's end of life is when I decide it's dead. Not when you decide that you're not making as much money off of it as you'd like, or it becomes a casualty of some contract dispute between licensors. That's not my problem. I paid you for it. I expect to be able to use it until the end of freaking time if it lasts that long. If it doesn't, I expect to be able to repair it, modify it, do whatever I want with it because it's mine 100%. You didn't license it to me. You sold it to me. If you didn't want me to do what I want with them then you shouldn't have put it together and sold it. And the same goes for software. You don't get to sell me software and then decide arbitrarily on when I can no longer use it. I don't care if it's an online game. If you're going to shut it down, Jen, you better be ready for people to reverse engineer your proprietary product in order to make a community version of the server so that the people that paid for it can still play it.
And holy shit if anybody's actually read this far....
TLDR;
It really is pointless to argue about which consoles the best or which manufacturer is the best. They're all evil. They all suck. They all only care about your money or the money that they can make off of you being the product.
So instead of fighting each other and arguing for them, who could give two shits about you and what you think of their console because either you've already bought it and they have your money and probably not the first time, or they'll never get your money because you're on the other side of the fence with *insert evilcorp here*.
Instead, we should all just come together as gamers and enjoy the time that we get to spend gaming... Until, after a few years we have to throw another grand at one of these companies to get the next new thing.
That only does the same thing...
Of course, you don't get these free bundles if you go that route, you only get the Amazon free bundles if you are a Prime member.
Personally, I'd rather save the PS Online cost and just buy a bundle or two that I like, rather than take what they give me.
If it was on Xbox I would have given it a try,
