Just a note that in-store they said it only applies to furniture, and it doesn't appear to work if that amount isn't met with furniture. Store associates have tried to get approval to override for some in checkout.
They recently took away the 5% off everything perk for being an IKEA member...very greedy.

IKEA has been raising prices, and offering discounts and coupons.
If you haven't shopped at IKEA for a while, you'll likely pay more than what they used to cost.

I recently realized you can get pretty decent and comparable quality like IKEA furniture on Amazon for cheaper and shipped to you. For example I was shopping for IKEA bed frames (eg Malm) and found much better looking alternatives for like half the price

You can buy solid wood furniture for IKEA's sale prices now. Not IKEA's "solid wood"but actual wood that holds up.

If you're someone who still has an IKEA bookshelf from college, good for you.

Yes, bought this couch [ikea.com] for around $700 regular retail price pre-pandemic. Unbelievable that they are calling $1250 as the new lowered price. Taking advantage of inflation talk track to stiff consumers and increase their profits is really infuriating. I'm done with ikea

It's supply and demand. With more people staying at home/WFH, the demand for in-home amenities have gone up... Along with their prices ... /s

Anyone know if I'll be able to use this on an item that is out of stock if I go into the store and pick it up when it arrives. A lot of stuff is out of stock at my local store.

No luck on my freedom, but it was on my Sapphire Reserve.

Been trying to get a desktop mesh chair as my current is starting to peel off. I hate how they went up from the $200's to near $400 now.

Look into the Hyken chair at Staples. Much better deal IMO and what I ended up going with.

One reason why Ikea always drew me in over other manufacturers was the European standards they seemed to follow for manufacturing and chemicals. Not sure it's still as highly regarded with a lot of manufacturing outsourced elsewhere but...I know they never used any toxic flame retardants for example.

I like their blankets. Probably only thing worth buying. Most stuff is available online for cheap.

I have a bunch of $100 Ikea GC's. Can I use multiple gift cards in one purchase? TIA
Yes. I've used 20 $10 gift cards online before. It's possible in the store too, just takes longer.
