Wondering why the trade-in value for the 15 Pro Max less than the 14 Pro Max?

They're running the same scam (or worse) than Samsung. Show discounted price, add trade in and suddenly you're paying MSRP. Their website is a mess too. Don't trust my $$$ with a company like OnePlus that barely supports their devices.

Some of the best devices I ever owned were the early Oneplus's (i.e. anything before the 6). Then the enshittification began and AFAIK it never stopped. The software support just fell off a cliff. e.g. my OP7 pro spent about a month being completely unusable as a telephone after a phone/dialer bug (that definitely was reported in both betas but never got fixed) got through in the released firmware pushed to production phones worldwide. The response from Oneplus was along the lines of "that sux, delete all of your data and downgrade the OS if you want our device to do the thing all phones since Alexander Graham Bell have done."

Their reply to Google/Samsung offering 7 years of software support was 'that's stupid'. They make some nice hardware, and used to have good software. I was genuinely interesting in the Open but the deals have been lackluster. For companies trying to break into the foldable market, Google and Oneplus sure seem barely interested in making compelling offers to foldable customers!

OnePlus has the worst support in the world. I wouldn't buy this for $50

As someone who has this phone and has used all the foldables. This is easily the best and most usable.

I dunno, lots of negativity being expressed in here but it feels a lot like grudges. I had the 6 as my first 1+ and it still is great but I think you're all being strangely harsh about it.

I will say that I would like faster updates, but I'm on T-Mobile and they take forever for everyone.

I did not understand how can it be $1,498, because it is 1699 in the link provided.
After trading in the Fold 4 it gives me $987 around, not $450. Please help me where its gone wrong.
