Are you using yours Costco Citi Visa? It always happens to me when I buy gift cards from Costco using my Costco Visa. I know it's kind of a pain but I spoke to Citi about it and they told me it's a security measure when purchasing gift cards online. According to the rep I spoke with, there is no way around it except to call Citi every single time to you plan to purchase a gift card online from Costco to have the flag cleared. The order should go through after that. If anyone else knows another way please let me know.

How do you use them most effectively? I feel like the price on instacart is ~20% higher than in store. And you will have to pay extra fees. Are people using the deal mainly to save time?

Sign up for trial instacart+ membership to save on delivery fee. Some stores are "in-store pricing". Combine that with any $$$off promos available in your account. Don't forget to tip the driver.
