I purchased a REFURBISHED (not factory refurb) OPEN BOX M1 Max 64GB 1TB two months ago with 10 charge cycles for $1619+tax. I was able to get the purchased day changed to add 1 year of limited warranty from date of purchase. Call Apple and upload receipt. Once that was complete, I given 60 days to add Apple Care+. Yesterday, I went into the Applestore to add 3 yr. Applecare+ for $399, using my giftcards (Citi Points).

I purchased the M1 Max 64gb ram 2Tb refurb from Microcenter last month, and was able to add Apple care; the store rep said they were refurbished directly from Apple.

This particular one is not refurbished by apple according to a Microcenter employee when I was there yesterday. They said it came with a 90 day. My local store only had one Macbook that was Factory Refurbished.

I've bought MacBook Pro 16 ' 16gb 512 gb for 1250 apple refurbished from micro center and to all Apple refurbish laptops they have a brand new shell that mean the monitor as well the item that is used is the motherboard (system board ) plus you have 1 year factory warranty but you can 't get the apple care if you bout it at micro center you would have to go with their warranty but again to all that are looking to buy refurbished apple laptops they are like brand new they even come in the apple box all sealed in it all has new packaging from apple again line a new laptop but any other refurbished laptops that are not factory (apple)refurbished it will be just used laptop that was simply inspected and clean as much as the tech could
