If anyone is looking for extra steep discounts, I'd recommend buying through Madison Seating on eBay, you can get a leap v2 for under 400.

That being said, I got a leap v2 from Crandall 2 years ago and it was an amazing chair, just super comfortable, adjustable, and sturdy. I know Crandall does a lot as far as the remanufacturing of the chairs, and it does make me wonder if it makes them a little more comfy to sit on?

Admittedly I got an Amia for 250 from Madison and it's still a great chair, but it's a little less cushy all around and I do regret that a bit.

Crandall I believe replaces the seat cushion with their own which is a thicker cushion. Think they also have their own fabrics.

Crandall prices are crazy steep for a used Steelcase. I can get one new for cheaper using epp discounts
I picked up an open box Leap V2 in perfect condition for $350 from Madison Seating on eBay. Shipped free on FedEx.

Crandall has the same chair as "Grade A" for $1,039.20.

Thank you for the reference. I checked them out and was excited to see a "new" open-box LEAP for $600. However, their negative reviews are concerning and consistent with each other. They complain of being sent a refurbished chair instead and the seller is not too receptive to a resolution. That said the number of these reviews is few and I am wondering what really happened.

I bought a Leap V2 from Crandall. Everything seemed fine but I noticed some flex in the underside of the chair. Turns out that seems normal (it's plastic). That said, I was able to see internally on the metal of the chair and noticed significant rust. I reached out to Crandall because I thought in their refurbishment process they did a good job of cleaning and removing anything like rust. They basically told me sorry, it doesn't affect the use of the chair. Extremely poor customer service and false advertising in their process. I will never buy from them again.

I bought a Leap V2 from Madison Seating in 2018 and thankfully it was fine. But they are pretty shady from everything I've read. Just search their name on "OfficeChairs" on Reddit and you'll stay far away from them.

You truly get what you pay for. Crandall and BTOD exists if you want used/refurb, so I wouldn't bother with Madison Seating

All I can say about that is if you want a new chair buy it from SteelCase. I know the chair I bought was used but but cleaned up, fixed or otherwise refurbished. I am happy with my $350 purchase. A lot better than the $100 Real Space chair I bought from Office Depot a few years ago.

What makes that one so special that it's $900 (on sale)? I'm genuinely curious. I've seen similar ones for a small fraction of the price.
One lawsuit alleging you cheaped out on office chairs and your employee is now disabled with permanent back pain is very expensive.

Plus, all of these high end chairs have supplies of parts, so you can repair them instead of replace them as they age. So instead of buying a $200 chair every 3 years, you can buy a $1000 chair for 15 years and it only costs you maybe $250 extra over those 15 years in parts.

Seems like a terrible deal then. You can find used Leap V2s for $300 on OfferUp. If a company is selling rusty chairs there's no point in paying extra for their "refurbishing".

I bought a Leap V2 from Crandall a few months ago with my holiday bonus. It is a really nice refurbishment that they do. I had an issue with the seat and then sent me a new one with a return label. Very friendly people

Just got an office chair from Woot for $35. I'm good with spending too much on these.

I rolled the dice on 2 of them from Madison Seating in 2019, one for home and the other for the office. Both of them arrived in great condition and have held up incredibly well to daily use over these past 5 years.

Honestly as someone who sits at a computer most of the day, it was the best money I ever spent. For years I was using the cheap sub $100 padded chairs from Staples that would constantly break within a year and also caused me immense lower back pain during extended use.

Not only is the Leap V2 still in perfect condition after 5 years now but I never have any back pain anymore no matter how long I'm working.
