This is really an awesome price with great tools for a mechanic that doesn't have. The polisher is fantastic, and even the ryobi version (which isn't brushless), is running you at least 100 alone tool only, even more without a type of sale. The right angle impact is also a fantastic tool, stronger than the m12 according to TTC, and also at least $100, more if not on sale. The light is a great led light, the ratchet is definitely awkward and heavy, but definitely usable, and the impact wrench is outdated tech, but more than capable for most backyard mechanics out there. Considering you're spending at least 100 each for the polisher, right angle impact, and full size impact, you're virtually getting 2 free batteries, charger, speaker, ratchet, and work light. If you needed or wanted at least 3 of these tools, and want to get into the kobalt line (which is a great line for diyers for sure) then this is the deal for you.
Thumbs up just for this unique and smart selection of auto DIYer tools.
I know there are a lot of people out there that love to crap on Kobalt, but I've got many tools in the 24V Max line and I've had nothing but an excellent experience with all of them. They're well made, the batteries last forever and charge pretty quickly, and they perform very well. My combo set is from a couple generations ago, but I don't ever feel like I'm lacking for features or power. Granted that's a totally different set of tools than this, but I'm just saying that if I felt like I would get a lot of use out of these, I'd not hesitate at all to snatch this up. If the name or potential quality issues are what's holding you back, I'd say you shouldn't worry.

One thing to note is that the kit picture shows a 1/2in impact wrench but in the individual tool pics, it shows what appears to be a 3/8in? impact wrench.
If you're really into tools for the sake of its use (getting from A to B) and not the brand, battery compatibility, or reputation, this seems like an excellent deal. Probably as good if not better than the Harbor Freight stuff.
In California, these are the types of tools you'd not mind getting stolen. Heck, it's a good set to keep around in case something gets lost!
Brushless and Lithium Ion can now be had for cheap!
This comes with the old impact wrench from the first picture not the one in the later pictures. Here is the item and model number:

You obviously don't work on autos
If I was just starting out I'd get this.
