The instructions include ice, frozen fruits for blending. If doesn't then it's a problem:

It also had issues blending ice, and frozen fruit. I tried everything from more liquid, less liquid, putting the ice in last, etc. More often than not the fruit would end up jamming up the blades, and the ice would just get a bit rounded but never actually blended into the drink.
I'd never pay $50 again for one of these, but $15 isn't bad if you are just trying to make a protein shake or something and aren't trying to blend ice/fruit.
