For those who don't want to trust viewing the sun with eclipse glasses, I've used the pinhole box projector to view eclipses and it works very well since it enlarges the sun's image (it helps to have a longer box to increase the magnification):
I saw a solar eclipse in Oregon in 2017, I made a video about it too on YouTube. And I met this lady in a parking lot who was using a nice camera with a welders torch lens and she gave me some really nice photos from that
I did that trip totally last minute, I was a 3 hour drive from the path of totality and it was extremely hard to find 3 solar glasses for my friends who road tripped this idea 24 hours before

ebay is just a middle man, they don't hold inventory. these are sold by beach camera, who is a pretty large retailer...
