It is not a redeemable code. It a digital license copy attached to the hardware. There are video about it in YouTube. Retailers aren't even required to be transparent anyways.

Fwiw the motivation behind the question was that I wanted to know if this game, upon redemption/download, will be stuck to the device or the account.
I bought this yesterday and can confirm that it is not a code, but rather a download that's associated with your account. This download happens as soon as you sign into the app store.
I was also able to confirm that once you activate this switch lite and associate the game with your account, it becomes available on all devices across your account.
