Usually these go for $600+ each with a battery, but this retailer ordered 300+ during covid and installed half of them in the ebikes they use for tours so they had a surprlus of 150 of these kits they have no use for. I called backroads.com and verified that backroadsgearshop.com is associated with them, so this seems like a pretty safe buy.

I bought 3 (since it's buy 3 get 1 free) and I'm planning on offloading 1 of them on FB marketplace for $350-$300 and keeping 2 for my own builds.

You have to be quite handy to install these but some bike shops can do it for you as well.

I do encourage you guys to do your due diligence and call backroads.com at the phone number listed at https://discover.backroads.com/contact to verify that this site is owned by them. I did that before placing my order, I believe a mod here did the same before approving the deal as well. This goes into "almost too good to be true" category in terms of deals, so double checking the legitimacy of a site is always a good idea.

Damn I've been plannin on getting a BBSHD but at this price i'd rather go with this. Have some concerns with no info on type battery, and no mention of charger, but I'm gonna take the risk. $400 of 1500Wh is a deal on the batteries alone.
