Woot has the Chamberlain myQ G0401 garage door opener for $14.99.

Smartphone control: Control, secure and monitor your garage door from anywhere.

New design: Compact modern design with a white finish that blends in with ceilings, walls and garage doors. New mounting plate simplifies install.

Improved setup: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration makes setup easier than ever.
Download the myQ App and follow the in-app instructions to get set up in minutes.

Works with Amazon Key: Enables convenient and secure In-Garage Delivery.

Works with most brands of garage door openers manufactured after 1993 that use photoelectric sensors that do not shut off. It is not intended for use with openers in which the photoelectric sensors located near the bottom of the garage door change power mode (e.g., lights on the sensors turn off after the door is closed), or any Chamberlain Group opener with a yellow learn button manufactured between 2010 and 2021, or any Linear opener.

Good deal. Lowest I seen this is $17. This updated model is much easier to setup. Interesting how Woot categorized this under sports and outdoors equipment.

I have a MyQ opener now but they no longer allow you to integrate with things like IFTTT. This prevents a lot of automation.
Looking for alternatives soon.

Won't work for long if you have LED lights in garage. Only MyQ integrated into Door opener works well over time

I'm so sad that I didn't do my research before installing a myQ product last year (new home owner, didn't know garage door opener companies could be so terrible).

My expectations were not met. It's disappointing to have to use the myQ app or spend more money installing more hardware for me to hack the existing install.

Wish this company would do the right thing and allow integrations (and to do so without charging monthly/annual fees). Until they do that I will always comment about their products and dissuade friends and family from buying their products.

I had the older version, but what effect would LED lights have on this? I had LEDs in the garage and never had any issues.

Thanks, picked one up. I used the myQ that was a feature in my garage opener but it was acting buggy. Hopefully this new hardware helps with the issue.

Chamberlain is a greedy company. They used to allow 3rd party integrations (Alexa, Siri, IFTTT), then they closed them citing "security issues", then they opened it back up but with a subscription fee, and then they closed it completely again.

I had a MyQ-equipped opener, replaced it with a comparable Genie after I got sick of dealing with them. Much happier now.

For those interested only to add smart functionality to open and close their garage doors, through the MyQ app, then this is a perfect low cost way to do it.

However, please know that the LED lights on this device is only used for warning flash prior to the garage door closing.

Users DO NOT have the capability to turn the built in LED lights on independently, such as a garage night light, etc.

Hope this helps.

I am reading a lot of complaints about integration and fees. Could you expand on what you're not able to do?

All I want is to be able to control the door with my phone and to allow Amazon Key delivery into the garage.

Unfortunately, Amazon Key delivery is limited to just two brands (?) which is myQ and Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi Retrofit Kit (but this is more expensive). My opener is old, but a Chamberlain, so it will work with the myQ Smart Garage Control.

If that's all you need it will meet your expectations. The frustration is that it is capable of more but Chamberlain has locked myQ down. The only thing I would want is to be able to control my garage door from Android Auto or Google Home. Now if I want to do something like that I have to purchase 3rd party hardware.

But yeah Amazon Key and phone control, totally works.

Excellent, thanks! I can definitely see how convenient it would be to just say for alexa/google to open/close the garage door, but I think I am OK with just doing it within the app. Really, I just want to be able to use Amazon Key delivery--otherwise, I would go with the meross opener that was posted on SD recently

Again, it's just that the capability is there but Chamberlain has locked it down, either due to lack of engineering or for profit reasons.
