I bought this last time it was on sale and played a couple of the older games. They actually still hold up pretty well.

Beware, if you're wanting to play multiplayer, the network code is awful. When playing the campaigns with a friend, whoever wasn't hosting would get random 1-2 second freezes. We didn't try all the games but it happened with multiple.

Single player should be no problem.

I just got into Halo like a month ago and wow i can't believe i've been missing out all these years. I started watching the show first and then just started playing this master cheif collection.

Missed it last time. Been patiently waiting. I had gotten reach for free a year or two ago (military appreciation). Now I can play everything minus 5

Halo is loads of fun except for the occasional game breaking bugs where enemies become invincible or you instadie. they're not that bad in MCC... well compared to infinite I guess.

Did they ever fix the dialogue volume being super low on the first game. I was gonna finally play it a couple years back and wanted to enjoy the theatricality of it in HD on my projector with my nice speakers but the music was way too loud compared to the dialogue during the opening cutscene. I looked it up and it was a known bug throughout the entire game.

And is it still missing some of the fancier graphics effects that the Xbox version had? I ended up playing on the original Xbox anyways. I didn't play all the way through but it's still a fun game from what I played of it. 480p looked pretty nice on my 50" bedroom TV and MCC doesn't use the ICONIC title screen which is a lame decision.

Honestly I wish they would have just added CE and Halo 2 to backward compatibility so we could play the originals in HD with less of the hassle involved. I'll grant that MCC was a better business decision on their part.
