This Roland kick is compatible with double pedals. It's just suggested to go into the module and increase the sensitivity a bit, since you're no longer hitting on-center. You can also add up to 4 expansion drums/cymbals/pedals.
The TD-27 module is very highly rated. It supports both headphones and external amps. It comes with dozens of kits baked in, and allows you to alter every sound in a virtually infinite number of ways (pitch, reverb, attack, tune, threshold and so on.) You can even layer sounds. It comes with a bit of a learning curve, though.

Adorama does not deliver on musical instruments and has excruciating painful customer service. You've been warned. Same shill Slickdeals poster for all Adorama deals.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Adorama's customer service. iconian has the experience to find deals at prices others can't, which a lot of SDers have appreciated judging from the reps given, but the slickest deals can have some tradeoffs.
Can you add a double bass pedal and other cymbals to this? Can you wear headphones, change drum sounds etc... sorry if bad question. Been out of the game for many years

Is this a more recent thing? I placed a handful of orders a few years ago, one being an entire kit, and had no problems (although I had no need to contact customer service.) I had planned on possibly ordering more parts/upgrades from them, but Sweetwater tends to have a better selection.

Ordered the Roland TD-17KVX from them and had zero issues. Excellent communication via emails, and it was shipped relatively quickly.

Yes, this is one of the best drum modules you can buy and a pretty solid set of hardware too. I have the TD-17 and I couldn't justify spending this much money for its big brother, but if you have the money, are really into drums, and would benefit from the features the TD-27 has over the TD-17, this is arguably the best value to be found in e-drums. The digital snare is supposedly the best available electronic trigger pad, and retails alone for about $850. The digital hi-hat by itself retails for nearly $1200. The digital ride retails for about $550. All these are wildly overpriced IMO, but also apparently head and shoulders better than prior pads and Roland's competition. Those pads alone, without the module, equal about what you'd be paying for the entire kit on this deal (although to be fair, only a crazy person would buy the digital snare, hi-hat, and ride at retail). There are also three slots for additional trigger inputs, which I believe could be split for a total of six additional triggers/sounds.
The other major benefit of the TD-27 over the TD-17 is the array of options for audio out - you can split it like ten different ways that could be important if you're using it to gig with different sound mix setups.
I could not bring myself to buy the TD-27 even at this price because I'm not skilled enough to need the nuance and control the digital pads provide, and I don't play genres that require it. I also don't really perform for audiences or have to connect to a sound board or PA system. But for people who would benefit from those features, this is a great deal for an exceptional kit.
One last note is that the TD-27 apparently suffers from the same issue as my set, inasmuch as the factory sounds are not great out of the box. There are different ways to deal with this - if you're naturally good at working with audio, you can probably fix it to your liking pretty easily, or you can purchase third-party pre-programmed kits for $10-20 bucks a pop. In my case, I am not great at audio and I'm too cheap to buy the third-party kits, so I've kind of let things unfold incrementally, and after about a year, I'm happy with the sounds I've put together.
If this set turns out to be overkill, you could probably unload it used for essentially the same price as this deal (although to be fair, it might take some time - there's not necessarily a huge market for such high-end e-drums).

As much as I think this is a good deal, as reflected in my prior post, this is not really telling the whole story. Iconian doesn't seem to be "finding" deals, as this deal does not exist on Adorama's website. Rather, if you access the product page through the Slickdeals link, the lower "deal" price shows up, suggesting that the deal is one negotiated between Adorama and Slickdeals.
Edit: see the response to this from Fabulouslake656 below. In short, it's not necessarily a slickdeals-specific promotion.
