I have this phone and I actually like it. The screen and design are what does it for me. I don't game or "push" my phones so I don't care about the fastest chip.

If you want a large OLED 120hz screen with an up-to-date design for a cheap price then this is it.

Yeah there are missing features and much better phones out there but that's not the point. For the price nothing beats it.

Boost is the worst...A15 is also the worst phone in the today market.
Antutu benchmark shows its performance beats 2% phone (aka. 98% phones are better than it)

You have to activate the phone within 30 days. Otherwise, Boost will charge you the difference between the list price and sale price (another $160). After activation, you can do whatever you want with the phone though the phone will still be locked for a year. Somebody in another thread said when he got his device and phone got unlocked immediately. That however is a big YMMV.

An UNOFFICAL alternative to the A15 would be the A25 provided you do not mind paying another $60.

Samsung A25
$100 + $150 annual plan = $250

the Samsung a15 is junk anyway, so dont count the phone in either deal. Nobody uses them anyway.

So you can pay 190$ for unlimited everything, or 80$ for unlimited everything except 24GB yearly.

I dont think most people need more than 2GB per month.

And I never said the Samsung data plan is bad. Im just saying the phone is very bad and that the BLU data plan is also available which may be better
What happened to your A15?
did you expect Sxx performance with Axx price?

I order from online and don't remember it asking for id. I don't even remember giving my birthdate.

First define what you want to do with your phone. Use computer for the extensive processing. You are inviting trouble if you use your phone for your critical job and financial activities.

Apparently it is not better than A13 5G unlocked in 2 months with 1500 minutes and 1.5 gb data at $40 from TraceFone.

May or may not work on Boost mobile. To ensure compatibility, choose a non-Boost mobile phone and use a non-Boost mobile network.

6gb vs 4gb no big difference unless you are doing something serious.
The same with 8GB vs 64GB computer memory while doing browsing.
Doesn't Samsung have the feature to ram Plus?

You realize that the A1 series phones are the top selling android phone in the US?
Let's be honest, phones under 400$ are cheap and slow.

The A series phones only sell well because Samsung can produce them so cheaply.

The only people who buy them are the people who think: oh wow Samsung phone for 100$.

It sells well because the people who buy can't tell the difference between and iPhone 15 pro max and an A15.

I have the A15 4gb and it is ridiculously slow for everything. The only good thing about the phone is the screen.

I have an A15 that I ordered about a month ago that I'm going to give to my son. My primary phone is an S22 ultra. The differences aren't as drastic as some people would like to think. My son's previous phone was a moto g power 2022 (no longer getting updates, thanks motorola). The g power was truly bad: slow and laggy. It's not a good phone. However, the A15 is pretty smooth for basic tasks. The amoled screen looks great. The A15 get four OS updates and five years of security updates. That's what sold me. Overall for a $40 phone, it's pretty darn compelling. I wouldn't trade in my s22 for it but for kids or grandparents, it's perfectly fine and won't cause frustration over lag and hiccups like the similarly cheap moto that it's replacing.

You probably will get downvoted for this by some as well as guy who said that people can't tell difference between this and iPhone 15 pro max but I strongly agree on part where lots of people go for cheap phones because that's what they can afford or type that will proudly say that their phone can do everything that $1K phones can (omitting that it will take 2-3x time with some apps) or that flagships are just overpriced but "same" stuff (I agree on overpriced part but same performance? 😂). From my experience when I encountered people with cheap phones they said they're ok with them but when shown difference especially in camera quality/response between that and flagship (especially in low lighting conditions or inside) that evidence was enough to prove that there's a reason other pay more.
Bottom line cheap phones have their use but after using something with higher performance it's harder to go back usually especially if difference is substantial, for people who say A15 is great phone it stands true only if they're happy with it and if they're then all is good but trying to argue that it's also good for rest is kind of silly.

Never had boost. Can anyone comment on what to expect changing from Mint mobile? Which network does Boost use?
