love the speed model but so confused how the v4 is out but the v3 never went on clearance

and apparently the v3 is selling really well even at over $100 when the v2 was down to $40 (or less) at the end

Huge fan base. I have a feeling they'll continue selling them for awhile. If and when they go to $80 or below I'll probably buy 3 or 4 pair.

V4 just came out. It's fairly typical for the old model, if it's popular, to go on a mild discount for a decent chunk of time before a 50% discount hits. As someone who took major advantage of those sales on the Speed 2 era shoes, I think those will be increasingly rare. I got a couple pairs of Speed 2's for $50, but that was with weird stacked coupons tricks that seemed unintentional. I think Saucony over-purchased during the pandemic which resulted in a huge glut of shoes they had to clear out. The deals on the next couple of generations of shoes have come from other retailers (DSW, for instance) and on only specific models.

Getting the 2s for $50 is crazy. I got a pair for $90 and was quite happy. Imo, anything below $100 for Speeds is a great deal.

I stocked up at $60, then $50 and a few pairs at $40. I run 200 miles a month and still have a couple of unopened boxes. Love the speed 2 and 3's. Am anxious to give the 4s a try as the review's have be positive but it's a slick deals waiting game and will probably have to purchase a couple of pairs of discounted 3's first.
