Internet Archive is a great place indeed! They also have WaybackMachine which can be used to reference old webpage snapshots!

However, this is not a deal and should be marked as information post.

Thank you OP. I've found books on archive.org that places such as Amazon charges 100s of dollars. I can't think of a better deal than free for all that media.

They are also in a battle with the international media companies for their very existence so I agree anything we can give them helps.

Whether it belongs here or not that's up to slickdeals but for me this is the correct place.

Couldnt agree more, been using archive since the late 90's but is by no means a "slick deal"

I use this for some classic jam bands like moe. Lots of concerts available from a lot of bands!

This is just someone trying to harvest karma points or something. Archive.org is generally really well known.

Granted, more and better stuff (like old local cable access TV episodes) are starting to show up. Things which truly there was no way of obtaining before.

Well, I just found out about it and thought maybe others didn't know about it either.

We've been watching Bonanza lately. So great, and no commercials.

If you really want to relive the 80's there are tape archives of music played in Kmart stores.

I had never heard of it, never heard anyone mention it, and I'd consider myself pretty knowledgeable about stuff like this. Seems many of the people commenting and TU-ing haven't heard of it either.

I think of all the "deals" for free books that get posted from Amazon, deals for items that are frequently changing price to $1 lower, SD promoted posts... seems it's a grey area what qualifies as a deal. Just my opinion, feel free to crap on the OP if you must.

I mean, Archive.org has been posted here 23 times before in some form or another. As it's been around for decades, I would have assumed most internet savvy folks knew about it by now.

I had no idea. And I think I'm pretty technically savvy...
