One less known fact is Costco has "Business Centers" with a lot different item list. One of those is Walnut Pieces . Strangely, the pieces are *much fresher* than the whole Walnuts you get in regular Costcos. I go to the Business Centers just for those and load up several bags and stock in the fridge. Great every way and ready to eat.

Unfortunately, these walnuts were rancid, and the seller does not offer refunds or returns. They were within the sell-by date, so I don't know why they were not good. Probably my faults for buying the cheapest brand, but the reviews were good, so I got hoodwinked.
