ingredient list has added water and soybean oil and a bunch of other additives, typical of American made food products.

personally I would go with this one from Italy with just two ingredients. the Italians know balsamic vinegar.

Yup light dressing usually just means cut with water. I rather use less of the real stuff

I don't think straight balsamic vinegar would make a very good salad dressing. You would still need oil and a few other ingredients to make a suitable salad dressing. https://www.loveandlemons.com/bal...naigrette/

Well, it's a salad dressing. Not just straight vinegar. So, there's that reason...

Oh no...water. Wait until someone finds out that 95% of vinegar is water Wink

But for the most part I agree with your sentiment regarding added ingredients however please be aware many companies do not disclose the ingredients because they do not meet the thresholds of content requiring them to do so where other companies do a much better job of full disclosure while making it appear their products have more ingredients when that might not be the case (EG not always apples to apples).

Also this being a "lite" product necessitates straying from the OG formula. Not to mention you are comparing a real vinegar vs a processed "dressing."

BTW, Pompeian, Inc was founded in Baltimore, MD. That's in Italy, right Wink

Multiple times a week I combine equal parts Dijon mustard and honey, equal parts balsamic and olive oil, and a clove of garlic and that makes a delicious, fresh, pretty low calorie vinaigrette. Not sure this is the type to buy OTS.

It's a good deal and you can't expect EVOO when prices for it have skyrocketed. The ingredients are comparable to Newman's Own, or Annie's..Whole Foods brand products are good quality.

All of which are total crap. Just buy a bottle of Balsamic Vinegar and nice EVOO. If you're a Costco member, they have some of the best aged vin and EVOO for the price. It's stupid easy to make vinaigrette. Simple 3:1 and you've got something that'll blow away the most expensive bottle "dressing".

Thanks for the tip..unlike most areas, the county I live has only one Costco that's 30 miles away..there are no Walmart's, Sam's Club or others allowed either..I appreciate the advice nonetheless. Be well

Wow, 30 miles is such a long way to walk, especially pushing a Costco cart the whole way home.
