Ended up buying it on Apple Books. Best place to view this would be physically of course, but a tablet is the next best place. Don't have any android or Amazon tablets, hence Apple Books. Doubt it would look nice on an ereader.

My grandfather gave me a hard copy of this as a gift. Not bad to flip through.

This is a great History Map book. I borrowed several maps books from local library for my son to learn world history. I was planning to buy a hardcover book of this book. But it is good to get an electric copy first for $2 no rush credit.

Amazon no longer loves me enough to give me no-rush credits. The Map book looks pretty cool, though; so it got me to fork over $2 in hard-earned cash.

I have the hardcopy. Awesome book, with awesome detailed visuals on nearly every page and unfortunately I've not seen these sorts of books show up well on Kindle. Would love to see a counter example if anyone has one?

That said, can't go hugely wrong at the price.

There's a kindle app for iPads. Also, you can use Amazon's cloud reader from any browser.

The main issue I've always had with these large format books is due to kindle navigation limitations on my Amazon Fire tablet. The crappy resolution at unzoomed level, clumsy zoom gesture, and worst of all, no way to move around once zoomed. Then I dubbed around in Accessibility/Magnification/Screen Magnifier settings for a bit, and also locked Auto-rotate to Landscape. World of difference.

Give it a go.
