They basically increased the price and then added coupon.
I just got a similar unit for my son's room. His is the furthest from the air handler and the air there was almost non existent.

The model that I installed has a sensor for temp and settings for heat and cooling. Essentially it sees the heat come on and the fans get started. I have it set at 75. The temperature coming out of the registers is 90+. Eventually when the heat turns off this will run for a bit longer, pushing any remaining heat in the vent into his room.

It's not a night and day difference, but it sure helps.

Of course I was lucky that there was an outlet nearby since it's a baseboard register.

They advise against installation in a ceiling register..
I use one from ac infinity. If the hvac sucks in one particular vent, having this increased airflow by what feels to be 50%. Not amazing but better than it was before.

Looks like it could has a fan to help push the air out. No telling how good of a fan or how long it would last though. Seems kind of pricey for all the unknowns.

My friend just bought a house that has some sort of inline booster on some of the vents and holy cow that thing blows air out those vents like nothing I have seen. I assume it's very pricey but is probably the best solution to weak vents. I bought a cfm tester to see if the vents in my room that never got that warm were weak and surprisingly they were not, just bad windows and probably some poor insulation.

Does it have a sensor to know if the HVAC fan is blowing? If not, it is running even when the HVAC fan stops?

Rated power: 6W Airflow: 120 CFM

The ideal CFM for a computer case fan:
Generally, for a standard mid-tower case, a case fan with a CFM ranging from 50 to 100 is considered adequate.

Right? My registers are in the ceiling…not close to an outlet.

I use 2 of these in my mobile home, one at the front where my window AC is located sucking the cool air in. The other is at the back end blowing the cool air out. It helps keep the back room cool in the summer. I don't use them in the winter for heating, but summer time they run 24/7. There is no reverse switch on these, if you want to reverse the airflow you need to take out the fans and flip them over manually.
