You will get them no matter where you buy your rice. I freeze the stuff for 24 hours, then "defrost" on the counter for a day or two before storing in glass jars. No more bugs for me.
different types of rice for different cuisines. basmati goes with south asian and jasmine with east and southeast asian... having to explain this to you is comical

Coupon works on multiple bags and if you buy 4 you save an extra 5%. But my wife really likes the Nishiki Premium Sushi Rice and it's $1 a pound with 15% subscribe and save for a 10lbs bag.

I've never seen bugs in my rice, then again, I never bought rice from Amazon.

Boiling will kill everything and if there are bugs they aren't visible. Wait until you find about face mites and them eating your face while reading this.

Jasmine is probably the worst tasting rice. DT has them for half the price of this deal, (though some other brand). And Jasmine rice is always fully stocked in my DT next to the empty shelf of regular rice packages. No one likes Jasmine. Also, go for Basmati rice. It's so much better tasting.

I like Jasmine over Basmati hands down

This is like saying you only eat green apples cause you dont like red apples. Similar to vegetables, fruits, grains, etc, there are different strains and flavors. Like everything else, you can buy varying qualities and from different regions for different cuisines.

Old post, but I just had to say that I'm glad someone in here isn't completely brain-dead.
