This is a heck of a deal overall.

Current gen CPU
16:10 display (albeit 45% NTSC which sucks, but again, under $400 compromise here)
16 GB of RAM (definitely not something common under $400)
USB-C that supports charging and monitor out (doesnt mention thunderbolt but seems like its close to being that?)
Not a completely laughable battery at 56.6wh (lots of laptops this cheap will have sub 50wh batteries)
It even has a 1080p webcam, not 720p
Tons of I/O including 2 USB-A, 2 USB-C, HDMI, micro SD card reader...

These are all features combined that make this a really good deal overall for the price. My hones only gripe is getting a SLIGHTLY better display than the garbage 45% NTSC ones, but if thats the only real compromise of this laptop (not only 8 GB of RAM, no USB-C charging/displayout/thunderbolt, 720-p webcam, etc etc) its something you can live with.
Also, it has an aluminum case, not plastic, according to the Q and A.

I feel the only selling point are the newer Intel CPU and probably the aspect ratio of the display. The CPU, on paper, should be close to M2, but anything else, it just works.

Am I biased?

P.S., free shipping to Canada, if that's where you are located. I feel CA$400 would sounds like a fairer price.

Seems like a nicely appointed laptop to me. I mean, 16 inch display which is nice, especially for 40+ year olds with vision that is slowly getting worse (me), 16 GB of ram, 512 GB ssd, backlit keyboard, external hdmi connection, all for under $400. I bought basically the same thing but with a touch screen (lenovo yoga), open box from best buy, for $100 more. This is new. For what I use it for, 3d slicing, scanning, general browsing, low end gaming, this is a perfect laptop. Its also relatively slim and light and very portable.

Honestly I've been scouting a productivity laptop for a while. And the only thing that checks all boxes for me has been the open box zenbook 14 that goes for sale on Best Buy.

However, I don't see much wrong with this Lenovo. Apart from the screen being thrash, but at $400 it would be to much to expect.
