When I used a 240 hz monitor I could barely tell the jump up from 120. I'm a pretty serious gamer too. This really seems like a waste of money imo.

360hz monitors are for pro gamers only. They carry a price premium bc they are for competitive pro players. Sure anyone with the cash can buy one, but you'll see no real benefit. A 144hz or 240hz will serve any casual gamer just fine if not better since you likely don't need to tune the game's graphic settings down significantly to achieve those fps.
