It says "Orbit" but I don't know if that means it's is an orbital polisher. I'm extremely hesitant to buy a non orbital polisher for fear of ruining my paint. I did see a review or two from detailers who gave the product a good review, so that is helpful. Most negative reviews are regarding battery issues. I know my limitations and won't purchase a non orbital polisher. For people who know what they are doing, this seems like a good buy.

On the back of box it does say "Random Orbit", so should be an orbital polosher.

Good catch. I called customer service for Hart and they said it isn't an orbital but I'm guessing that the CS just didn't look closely. Based on the battery life of my hart chainsaw, 40v, I am guessing that the battery lasts about 20 mins or so. Will just have to break up the job into chunks, doing a section of the car at a time.

I've got all the HART tools. I use my 6AH battery with this, and it lasts over an hour.

It can get tiring holding it, while using it on your entire car though.

Have you used it to clean paint? Or do you use it for applying and removing wax? And have you been able to find other pads for it? My neighbor uses a Griots and they are very good but also pricey. He isn't a professional detailed but might as well be one. I am not desiring to be at that level, but I want to clean the paint and apply wax and polish. Appreciate any feedback you have. I will take the plunge and grab one of these, even if it's just for wax on wax off it will be worth it, since I don't have a Daniel-San to hire 😊

Clay bar and elbow grease to clean/decon paint. Never use power tools to clean—only compound, buff and polish.
