Does anybody have a view on how good/bad this miter saw is? I know it's not a Dewalt or Mikita, but the addition of the stand makes it interesting as I'm mostly looking to do molding and trim work.

I have had it for 3 years now. I love it for cutting baseboard, crown moulding, 2x4, 2x6 wood. I even put 1.5 in. thick butcher block on there to cut my custom countertops. I had to flip the butcher block over because the saw can only cut 17 inches out from the fence, but the countertops were close to 25 inches wide. I will order another today as mine needs repair due to light rain causing the light to stop turning on. If the repair is denied I'll have another.

I also bought the battery operated one, but it isn't as robust & capable as this model.
Not sure why this is being downvoted. Not a DeWalt, but is a really good deal nonetheless for double bevel, sliding, 12 inch saw, of decent quality, with stand included. The DeWalt version of this deal will cost $200 more
these still have blade wobble issues, it's not as bad as the one from 4-5 years ago but it's still enough to be noticeable.
I definitely wouldn't recommend using this saw with this stand though, It won't allow you to stand it up like the bigger one will.
Thanks for the input. I'm definitely going to hold off then since I need precision for finish work and any wobble, even if imaginary, makes me uncomfortable.

oh it's definitely a thing, this is like the 3rd revision of the saw with the problem.
The original one from like 2017 is really bad, i have that one and the newer one and while it is significantly better it's still going to be noticeable especially if you need to fully extend the arm to make a cut.

The build quality precision of the blade cuts are not comparable for a professional. I've owned over a dozen miter saws, I recommend the metabo 12-in to a bevel for 300. One of the best saws calibrated right out of the box.
FYI there is a Rigid 7 inch slider miter saw on clearance at some HD locations for $140. I picked one up in Canton, Michigan a month or two ago. And I just saw one at a location in Durham, NC a couple of days ago (was temped to get it and flip it). So it is around if you get lucky.
