Buyer beware, the battery is TERRIBLE. I've had mine for just over a year. The battery holds a charge for only 20 minutes before you have to charge it again. It takes roughly an hour to get to 100%.
GoPro cameras are known for shutting down due to heat. When it shuts off, it gives you zero clue it stopped writing to the card, at times, even the LCD is working.
I live in S. Florida and during summer it is a pain to record anything longer than 20min at 4K. Camera overheats and you lose footage.
When you lose footage, the file is corrupted, it does not close the session of writing to the card. So, it is even a question if you get the prior footage based on what settings you chose, how it breaks down the recording in smaller files.
And it is not just one single unit. It is not one single year. It is every year, every model. I have 3 myself. The only reason I have it, I use it for scuba, it cools being in the water, so, not an issue. But if you plan to record outside in heat, just know of this shortcoming.
In fact, it a very well known issue. Please google. "gopro overheats" and similar keywords.
What would you recommend without overheating shutting down problems?
I went for this deal from this seller. On the first use, I got water condensation in the lens housing. I was using it in a swimming pool, no deeper than 2 ft. That being said, the seller was super responsive, got me a shipping label, and my camera is on its way back. The fact that they were good about the return makes me tempted to try again...

Use a new iphone. Better video and pictures
Do you have a link to a new iPhone for around the same price as this? That would be a great option for me. Thanks.
Haha no but it's good for an all in one.
Bummer ok. I'll keep my eyes open for a deal.
