Note, if you read app store reviews, there are quite a few reviews that claim that you need to get additional subs to read - those are reviews from folks who didn't have Gold (this deal). With Gold, this is an all-you-can-eat magazine buffet.
In my own experience, you get access to a lot of old issues. I looked for a 2019 issue of Us Weekly - and was able to find it. Older issues may not have "mobile friendly" (think list of articles) view but you still get the full quality magazine scans for those older issues.
