I have this and it makes a weird vacuum/suction noise when the compressor turns off. Was so annoying, I had to move it outside to the patio and get an Insignia beverage cooler that's been 100x better (albeit a bit more expensive).

My research says that noise is very common for this model, so I don't think I simply got a dud

Anyone know if shelves can be moved in a way to accommodate 16 oz cans which most craft breweries use?

based on pictures from Amazon it appears that you can by taking off shelves to accommodate the height

Thanks OP. I was able to grab one just now. Hope it isn't noisy like others have mentioned, but it is for the basement rec-room so not a huge concern.

Had this for a few months before offloading it on FB marketplace. Moving a shelf to accommodate 16oz cans removes like 1/3 of the capacity. The biggest issue I have with it, actually, is that the temperature never got nearly as cold as advertised. You could set it on 33 but it was no colder you could set it on 33 but mine never got lower than 40 degrees.

I kept this in my garage during the hot summer and it was fine. Look at my other comment above, though, as this thing isn't going to keep temps very well (Don't worry, we didn't use this solely in a hot garage. it was our temporary main refrigerator while we waited for our new one to arrive and was kept indoors for three weeks). The layout is also much less convenient than it looks in pictures. If you read reviews there are lots of complaints on never reaching the low temps it's supposed to.

Not sure if the same, but the 90-can version won't chill drinks unless it's set to 6 (7 is the max). This is when a bit of frost is formed in the back and will be consistently running. There is no frost at 5 and the drinks won't be that cold, unless you grab drinks that were placed in the back. Personally I won't buy another one.

Chiming in on the Insignia ones from Best Buy -- I've had the "115-Can Beverage Cooler" version for 4 1/2 years now and it's going strong still, no issues and handled a move and daily use as a refrigerator for months without issue.

These are only really suitable for drinks right? Nearly every model regardless of brand say the same thing about the temps never getting remotely close to the designated temp and hover in the 45degree range? This would mean most food would mold and spoil so not really for snacks? If plan is for small snacks, better to just get a mini-fridge I guess?
