I see RX 6600 Asrock 8GB for $190 (Newegg), so this 6650 is priced right? which one is better for a budget build for video/unreal ?

Man kinda depends on your current processor and such. I've got an RX 6600 and it handles everything I throw at it, but that's only video games and I'm not a huge power user. You can lookup benchmarks for certain games on youtube tho. Compare RX 6600 vs 6650xt. If I could do it over, I'd have gotten the 6650xt, but still happy w the 6600.

I use this for 1080p gaming. This has played RE4 Remake at 70-90 FPS with highest settings minus ray tracing and Dead Space remake at something like 120-140 FPS with Ultra settings. The FPS are from the Steam overlay, the average FPS are 3x as much in the Adrenaline software. It gets a bit loud when it gets going.

To be fair though, my budget shrank due to some unexpected bills and things, but my CPU is the 7800x3d. I don't know how much that would effect gaming though. I went with the best budget GPU I could find at the time.

I turned on Ray Tracing in RE2 remake and my FPS was around 50-70, but it would dip to 10-20 during sudden or intense scenes. RE4 Remake was less than 60 FPS. Those numbers are with mostly the highest graphic settings. That was with overclocking, too. If you overlock and/or undervolt and use medium or lower settings, the card you may be able to hit 60 FPS in a lot of games in 1440p, and a slight chance you could do it with ray tracing.

I'm not an expert, but just my thoughts from the 2 months I have used it pretty heavily for gaming. .

RX6600 overclocked is able to play anything these days at 60fps med/high 1080p. FSR and you are set. You want 1440p, 6700XT at $300. I stopped long ago trying to buy the latest & greatest. I find used office PCs with traditional power supplies, swap them out, stick in a RX6600 and call it a day.

May of 2023 got a pulse 6600 from newegg open box for $160. These are absurd asking prices for a 6650 which is marginally better. Cards around this speed and up to 6700 should be in the$150 to$225 bracket
