Yeah these are made with tech from the 80s.They're more for retro and wearing for style and not for hooping. Newer models incorporate latest tech. Look into shoes like Adidas Anthony Edwards 1, Under Armour Currys, or Nike Zion Williams, etc for performance. They're lightweight, provide great traction and support, and have much better "bounce."

In your same link and for a few bucks more I'd get the red and white pair, I think they are the Varsity Red lows AJ1? Kind of look like Chicagos.with a slightly different shade of red.
