I can imagine retailers accepting lower prices now that the C4 is out.
What's the difference?

GT wasn't accepting 77" A80L offers for under $2500 last week, and most retailers are pricing it at $2999. Getting a refurbished unit for $1599 is a pretty good deal in comparison, especially considering most are open-box or lightly used. And if you really don't care about integrity you could basically abuse the warranty for a better (read: new) unit for that original $1599 + the extra $279.
It's less of a deal for the 77 C3 since retailers have it available new with warranty for ~$2400 and GT was accepting offers around $1950ish within the last week (w/o warranty).. but an argument can be made.
Also for those looking-- Microcenter offers delivery options in store. Think the price for delivery increases for every 20 miles further away the delivery address is

That's why I said "if you don't care about integrity."
There are more than a few posts around of people "dropping" their TV when they have burn-in and returning for another unit. And when Microcenter doesn't have a replacement, they cut you a check for the purchase price.
