Haven't played myself, but I do usually look at player reviews from fans of the games that they are emulating. Anything 3-5 stars gives you a decent idea of how the game plays. For less than $10 I'd say its 4.6 average rating (4.6/5 on Xbox) is worth the gamble. Good luck.

I haven't played this one but I loved the sequel, Extinction. It's short but very fun, much more content and more world-lore than Pokemon at times. Definitely recommend at this price, though always better to play it on the go if you have a steam deck or switch.
