Ships Free with Walmart+, Clearance item so may not last long and availability may vary. Dirt cheap for a decent alarm clock, USB port as well but only 1 amp so more useful as a 'plug something in while you sleep' feature. nod

Not trying to crap on your deal, but:

1) No battery backup...any power interruption (especially while you sleep) will mean loss of time and alarm
2) Many reviews (with pictures) show high failure rate, including failing to trigger the alarm, digit(s) not working correctly on the display, or alarm volume randomly being very very quiet.

If it fails in its basic function (waking you up on time for something important), you stand to lose a lot more than $3.42.

I have an RCA from 20+ years ago that *still* works perfectly. They don't build it like they used to.

Awesome, daughter wanted a simple alarm clock. It is funny to read some reviews where they mention using it to charge their iPods.😆

Hmm. A device that tells time, wakes you in the morning and charges a device that tells time and wakes you in the morning.

will smart phones even charge at 1a any longer? I know some people like to slow charge their phones overnight to preserve battery life, but 1a is so out of date, (1 amp x 5 volts = 5 watts, while most phones are at least 25w)

Was about to order but if it has no battery backup, then it does not need electricity too.. should work with wind energy.. certified junk!

They do, just not for $3.
The regular price of this is just under $17. I think I paid $14 for the RCA @ Circuit City.

$14 for electronics 20+ years ago would be $30 to $40 today

No it wouldn't, as electronics have become more and more of a commodity. You can't blanket apply the overall inflation rate to specific products without taking into account other factors that affect the price of said product.

Laptop computers today cost less than they did 20 years ago, and that's BEFORE you adjust for inflation.

Bro, you're literally trying to argue that you can't get a quality product because a $3 walmart alarm clock doesn't live up to your standards, touch grass boomer
