Whatever you do, make sure you get the warranty. Bought xm4 ear buds from here and after a year or so they were affected by a very common issue (one side discharges very quickly) and there's no way to solve. Apparently xm5 are affected as well.

Fortunately they came with the 2 year all state warranty (now it's extra) and I got my money back in a couple of weeks

These are not refurbished, as they don't replace the battery or fix any issue with function whatsoever. They don't even test the units.



I received a pair where one of the earbuds had an 8min runtime. The return process was easy and they paid for shipping both ways. The replacement works great and meets my expectation.

The Linkbuds S for $48 is such a steal. Even $60 is an amazing deal. 90% of the XM4's sound quality minus the inevitable battery issue.

Received mine today. Looked brand new but the active noise canceling didn't work at all. Tried all sizes with a very tight fit on the large tips. Also much less comfortable than the Jabra 85ts these were going to replace. I know this is anecdotal and ear shapes vary but figured I'd share my experience.

Mine came with some marks of use (condition 4 stars out of 5) BUT one of the bigger (most needed for me) earbud tips is completely dirty by earwax or some white substance while the other one is brand new.

Any idea could the bad earbud tip condition be a sufficient reason for return/exchange?

No reason needed. If you want to return just email them. (The sale price is higher now if you choose to buy again) In my previous case they didn't allow for exchanges on 2 pairs of Samsung buds 2 pro. So they accepted returns and refund. I just wanted to exchange. If you choose to invest in different tips you can also go that route. U can say it sounds muffled and ask for an exchange. BUT the next pair can either be great. Or in worse condition that you have.

I cleaned up the white substance on the tip by alcohol and it looks like new now. Overall I started loving them. The big advantage of these XM5 over my older XM4 earbuds is not only SIZE (which is much smaller and comfortable) but also the sound quality and Mic. I was concerned about the last two reading a number of controversial reviews. But so far XM5 exceeds my expectations.

This is exactly the reason why I am not fully happy. The dirty tip was the large one which I plan to use. While the originally installed tips looks brand new but I don't use them.
